Dr. Gary Mathes

Director of Missions

Dr. Gary Mathes began serving as Director of Missions of the Clay-Platte Baptist Association in January 2019.  Gary is a native Missourian, and prior to coming to CPBA, he served as Pastoral Ministry and Church Revitalization specialist with the Missouri Baptist Convention.  He has previously served as pastor and associate pastor of churches in Missouri and Kansas.  Gary earned a Doctor of Ministry and Master of Divinity with Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, as well as a B.A. in Religion/Philosophy with College of the Ozarks. He and his wife, Ginger, have two children and five grandchildren.

Amy Wallick

Administrative Assistant

Amy Wallick began serving as the Administrative Assistant for the Clay-Platte Baptist Association in January 2024. Amy earned her B.A in Architectural Studies from the University of Missouri – Columbia. Then went on to pursue a career in art education with additional education from the University of Central Missouri. After marrying her husband, Philip, in 2012, she assisted him in starting and running a small cab company in Saint Joseph, MO. In 2019 Philip took a position as a mechanic with KCPD which brought them to the Northland. Amy and Philip, have 4 children, Lincoln, Micah, Remington, and Kimber. They are members at Gashland Baptist Church. In her free time, she enjoys reading, crocheting, and painting with her daughter, Micah.
